Having concluded more than 100 consultation assemblies and gathered a broad consensus – 97% - to the proposed agreement signed with the Swedish multinational H&M group (COS and & Other Stories brands) the Italian sector unions Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs have signed the new CBA.
Among the most significant changes introduced by the new agreement is an annual performance bonus of 600 euros gross, paid monthly, with reference to the years 2024 and 2025, related to parameters of productivity, profitability and business efficiency. Also:
- Consolidated the system of union relations structured in the three levels of national, territorial and store level, to better meet the needs of the company, workers and employees. The information system will be implemented by an electronic union bulletin board, in addition to the traditional physical one.
- improve Sunday pay work during December, with an increase of 35 percent, which is 5 percent higher than the amount provided by national collective bargaining.
- all workers will also be granted a meal voucher of 6 euros
- a shift scheduling will be communicated with a four-week notice: exceptions may be made at the request of the company or the worker, organizational or personal, within 48 hours of the start of the shift.
- Regarding parenting and equal opportunity, the CBA opens up the possibility of extending the duration of part-time post-partum until the child is 6 years old, for both mother and father workers, within the limit of 6 percent (double the national contract) of the store's workforce.
- annual advance planning of vacations and leave, with the possibility of using the latter at different times when necessary.
- Employees victims of gender-based violence will be able to take an additional 6 months of leave on top of the 3 already provided by current regulations, with the first month being fully paid.
- Remote and distant training courses will be paid as normal working hours.
- Contracted and outsourced activities must be entrusted to companies that guarantee the application of national contracts signed by the most representative trade unions nationwide.
- Finally, to ensure greater employment protection and fair treatment for each worker, the possibility of transfer within the group of the Company.
The Italian federations express their satisfaction with renewed CBA that represents a turning point in the system of labor relations and that "for the first time introduces a reward system correlated to productivity and sets the pace in bargained flexibility, with a view to worker participation in company processes."
